Robert is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas A&M International University in 1999 and a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Texas State University in 2013. Since 1999, Robert has been working with many different populations and all ages in the mental health field, honing his skills as a clinician. Robert incorporates a relational-focused approach to provide support and practical feedback. He utilizes his years of experience, education and training to help facilitate change.
Robert is the everyman clinician with 20+ years of experience in the mental health field. He is down-to-Earth and practical about this work. He believes creating a safe space and building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for success in therapy. Robert’s areas of experience focus on working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, family of origin issues, abuse/neglect, sexual abuse and PTSD. He has years of experience in trauma informed modalities.
Robert is married and has two young daughters. He has lived in the Austin-Metro area for the last 24 years. He enjoys spending time with his family and for the last 10 years has been exploring his skills as a woodworker.
