Dr. Nikita Tate-Casanova is an LMFT-A from Newport News, Virginia. She uses several therapeutic techniques dependent upon clients’ needs, including Cognitive Behavioral, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Guided Mediation. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families across the life span.
Nikita has worked in inpatient acute/residential treatment programs, with military units in the United States and Korea (ROK), intensive outpatient programs, and partial hospitalization programs. She believes in holistic wellness that focuses on clients’ somatic relief, as well as mental health stabilization.
Nikita and her husband have five beautiful children. Her husband is set to retire from active-duty military after 20 years of service, and their family has chosen to settle in the Central Texas area. Outside of counseling, Nikita enjoys reading and board games, as well as being a part of the ministry team at her church.
