Her previous experiences include working as a drug and alcohol counselor for teens in a residential treatment center, as a unit director of an adult drug and alcohol treatment center, and in private practice with clients for relationship issues, anger management, trauma, conflict resolution, and women’s issues. Lyn also worked for the Department of Defense as a Military Family Life Counselor with all branches of the military in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

She developed the wounded warrior program for the caregivers of the physically wounded, cancer and PTSD patients, as well as burn victims and patients with traumatic brain injury.

Lyn is married with four children and four grandchildren. She enjoys outdoor activities like pickleball, biking, and hiking, and she also trained and ran with soldiers for the Bataan Death March in White Sands, New Mexico. In her spare time, she volunteers in Sun City and Georgetown with a caregiver program that assists Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and considers this a work of love.
