Lydia Royer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a master’s in social work and an emphasis in cultural competence.

Lydia’s background includes working for a non-profit with children, teens, families, and adults. Lydia also has experience working with special education students, providing therapy to school campuses, and working with teens in an Intensive Outpatient Program. Additionally, Lydia has worked with clients on a variety of issues and specializes in anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral challenges in children, and trauma.

Lydia believes that the client and therapist relationship is essential to therapy. She approaches therapy in a collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental way, and wants each client to be heard and feel empowered in therapy. Lydia utilizes evidence-based interventions to help individuals and families achieve their goals, including play therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

In her free time, Lydia enjoys spending time with her friends and family, volunteering, cooking, and trying new restaurants. And she looks forward to working with you!
