Keila Togami is a Licensed Professional Counselor certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. She holds a Master of Counseling and Development degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
Keila specializes in working with children through play therapy, and has had specialized play therapy training from Texas Woman’s University. She works to provide children with a safe space to express their feelings and experiences by utilizing play materials and expressive arts techniques such as sand tray. Keila works with children to assist in emotion regulation, childhood trauma, behavioral changes, and school-related issues.
Her previous experience includes non-profit agencies, primarily focusing on providing trauma services to children, adolescents, women, and families that have experienced complex trauma and family violence. With a particular interest in using mindfulness and a person-centered approach, Keila believes that each individual already carries the tools and skills they need for healing and long-lasting change. Regardless of an individual’s experience, Keila strives to meet each client where they are, and facilitate healing by helping clients build deeper connections to their inner self.
When she’s not at work, Keila enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She also enjoys reading, yoga, and a good cup of coffee.
