Jerry Shipp is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 41 years of experience in California, Oregon, and Texas. He earned his master’s degree in Ministerial Counseling Psychology in 1980 from Pepperdine University.
Although his primary focus is marriages, he also specializes in other relational dynamics including communication, conflict-resolution, divorce, remarriage, blended families, and family dynamics.
Additionally, Jerry’s training and experience includes recovery from physical, verbal/emotional, sexual, or religious abuse, with special care for adult survivors of sexual abuse, as well as infidelity and affair recovery. He also has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, bipolar disorder, and suicidal ideation. In his previous role at a residential treatment center, he worked with ADHD in children and adults, as well as traumatic brain injuries in military personnel.
Jerry and his wife have been married for 41 years and have two grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters. He is the author of the book, Marriage Minutes: Building a Healthy Marriage One Minute at a Time.
