Jennifer Fongemie obtained her bachelor’s degree in applied psychology at Florida Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in forensic psychology at Walden University, and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Grand Canyon University. Her experiences in a psychiatric hospital, private practice, and correctional institution have helped her reach populations who are often overlooked or forgotten due to stigma—especially individuals impacted by the criminal justice system or those struggling with serious mental illness. She believes in meeting people where they are, without judgment, and honoring each person’s capacity for growth and healing.
Jennifer has experience with helping adults with anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, life transitions, stress, and trauma. She pulls from various approaches such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. She believes there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and that each therapeutic journey is as unique as the individual.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and three dogs. She also enjoys crocheting, reading books, traveling, and working puzzles.
