Chelsea Carnes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from Texas State University and a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR, and has extensive advanced training in play therapy and sandtray therapy.
Her past experiences working within many community systems have included an advocacy center for children, in hospital emergency departments, and as a juvenile probation officer. In all of her roles, Chelsea has worked closely with law enforcement and the court system, assisting clients and families in receiving the resources necessary to be successful.
Chelsea specializes in working with trauma ranging from physical and sexual abuse to witnessing violent crimes or traumatic deaths. She works from a client-centered point of view, and strives to offer a safe, accepting place to facilitate and encourage the healing process by welcoming clients as they are and where they are in their journey.
Outside of her professional work, Chelsea enjoys being outside hiking, biking, rock climbing, or anything in nature. She also loves being a wife and a mom to two sweet boys.
