Sue Dolifka is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master of Education degree at Texas A&M Central Texas. Her undergraduate work includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology which she earned at University of Illinois Springfield. She also completed the Women of Science program at University of Texas Austin for training in Computer Science.
Sue was the director at Hope Pregnancy Center where she counseled women facing unplanned pregnancies. She has participated as a team member of Rachel’s Vineyard, a weekend retreat for women and men with abortion in their past and as a team member of Grief to Grace, a five-day retreat for men and women with abuse in their past.
Sue is passionate about helping people overcome their past and present hurts and restore joy to their lives. She has worked with men and women on issues involving marital conflicts, grief, past sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, parenting difficulties, adjustment problems, anger and low self-esteem. She also has experience working with addictions and impulse control.
Sue utilizes an integrated approach which includes Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. She is comfortable working with clients from a spiritual or secular perspective.
Sue has been married to her husband over thirty years and they have two adult children and three grandchildren. She and her husband love to travel, and her favorite thing to do is to spend time with family and friends.
