Autism Testing and Treatment
Pathways Group Counseling Center is equipped to assess and treat autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders across the lifespan through gold-standard autism evaluation measures.
Our practice utilizes research reliable and empirically valid testing measures. We are proud to use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), which is a standardized, semi-structured play assessment that measures social interaction, communication, and imaginative play skills. The ADOS-2 was developed to aid in diagnosing autism across a wide range of chronological and mental ages, and consists of five different modules, each developed for a different developmental stage and language level. Testing age range is 12 months through adult.
Therapist Angie Welch, LMFT and certified autism specialist, provides the following as needed:
- Observation at school
- Four-appointment minimum for sessions and testing
- Standardized test results, as well as observational reports
- Treatment recommendations
- Parent packet following the rendering of results
